Resize and compress images online
Shrink photos for email and websites, change their pixel size, or switch between JPG, PNG, WebP and AVIF. The work happens on your own device, so your pictures are never sent to a server.
Drop images here
JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF, up to 20 files, 60 MB each
Your files never leave this device. Everything is processed in the browser, nothing is uploaded.
Three things this tool does
Compress lowers the file size and keeps the format. You pick the quality with a slider and see the new size next to the old one for every file.
Resize changes the pixel dimensions. Set a width, a height, a percentage, or a box the picture has to fit inside. The proportions are kept, so nothing gets stretched.
Convert saves the same picture in another format. WebP and AVIF are usually much smaller than JPG at the same visible quality, and PNG to JPG is the quick way to drop a heavy transparent background.
Why it runs in the browser
The codecs are the same ones Squoosh uses (mozjpeg, libwebp, oxipng, libavif), compiled to WebAssembly. They run in a background thread of the page, so the interface stays responsive while a batch is processed. There is no upload step, no account and no daily limit. The tradeoff is that very large photos depend on your device memory.
Questions
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. The files are read and processed inside your browser tab. The page makes no requests with your pictures, and closing the tab discards everything.
Which formats can I use?
You can add JPG, PNG, WebP and AVIF files (AVIF depends on your browser being able to open it). The result can be JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF.
How many files at once?
Up to 20 files per batch, 60 MB each. Download them one by one or all together as a ZIP.
Is the quality loss visible?
At 70 to 80 percent a JPG or WebP usually looks the same on screen. Compare the Original and Result thumbnails and move the slider if you see artifacts.
